Frequently asked questions.
Who is a good candidate for at-home ketamine services?
Ketamine is used off-label for certain mental health conditions. At-home ketamine treatment may be appropriate for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, chronic stress, or other mood-related concerns. All individuals must complete a comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluation to assess safety and appropriateness. Not everyone is a candidate, and eligibility is determined on an individual basis.
What is ketamine therapy?
At Inner Ascension Healing Institute, ketamine therapy refers to medically supervised ketamine treatment combined with structured preparation and integration support. During medicine sessions, I provide a grounded and supportive presence centered on safety and insight. It does not include formal psychotherapy.
What are the contraindications for receiving ketamine treatments?
Ketamine may not be appropriate for individuals with certain medical or psychiatric conditions, including uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, active psychosis, certain active substance use disorders, or certain neurological or medical conditions that may increase risk. A full evaluation is required to assess safety and determine eligibility.
How long does it take to see results with ketamine?
Some individuals notice changes within days or weeks, while others experience more gradual improvement over a series of sessions. Responses vary, and results depend on multiple factors including individual history, dosage, frequency, integration support, and personal efforts in changing lifestyle habits and patterns.
Who is a good candidate for medication management?
Medication management may be appropriate for individuals seeking evaluation and treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns using psychiatric medications. This may include individuals who are starting medication, adjusting current treatment, exploring alternative or adjunctive options, or considering a supervised and clinically appropriate taper of existing medications.
Medication decisions are made collaboratively and are based on a comprehensive assessment, clinical appropriateness, and individual goals.
Who is a good candidate for coaching?
Coaching is well suited for individuals seeking personal growth, support with life transitions, goal-setting, habit change, or preparation and integration around meaningful life experiences. Coaching is future-focused and assumes clients are creative, resourceful, and capable of directing their own growth.
Some individuals may choose to engage in coaching alongside therapy or other forms of care, when appropriate.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Coaching is a non-clinical, collaborative process focused on personal growth, self-awareness, and future-oriented goals. Coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions.
What is the difference between medication management and coaching services?
Medication management involves evaluation, prescribing, and monitoring of psychiatric medications. Coaching does not involve prescribing or medical treatment and focuses instead on personal development, insight, and goal-oriented support.
Who can receive medication management and ketamine services?
At this time, medication management and ketamine services can be provided to clients residing and physically located in NC only. Website will be updated appropriately as business expands.
Who can receive coaching services?
Coaching services, including holistic health coaching and psychedelic preparation/integration, are available to clients regardless of geographic location, as these services are non-clinical and do not involve medical or psychiatric care.
